The Mason Square Museum brings history alive with chronological displays ranging from prehistoric times to current ranching and banking.  Join us to view period events such as the Mason County War, the establishment of Fort Mason, a training ground for generals, and the finding of the largest topaz found in North America.  Learn about Robert E Lee's command, John Meusebach's treaty with the indians, Fred Gipson, author of "Ole Yeller" and Johnny Ringo's part in the Mason County War, listed as one of the top ten feuds in Texas.

The Museum Gift Shop includes the sales of historical books, surplus artifacts, photos, artwork and related memorabilia.  Although admission if free, the museum is a non-profit organization, so all donations are greatly appreciated.
